The Green Star - originally intended as a refuge from Thread, now a refuge from war, as all of Pern battles for the last scraps of ore that can be dragged from the earth. Can the riders of Discovery Weyr build anew? Or does this new world harbor its own dangers?

I have a question about LGBT characters/candidates/dragons/Impressions!
Additionally, staff characters do not count against availability for members. As a general rule of thumb, for anything that a staff member makes for themselves, at least one will be made available to members.
After that... patience and a positive attitude. It might take a few clutches for your dragon to turn up, but that's no different than any other game. We're not looking for the most active members, or the best writers, or anything like that. If you intend to be writing babies, it would be in your best interests to be kind to other members. You're going to be making dragons for them, after all, and a good clutchwriter should want to make people happy. Apart from that, though - you don't need to do anything special to "earn" a gold. Hatchings are not contests.
What happens next... kind of depends on what sort of thread it was. If it's a plot thread, or something that staff are running, please contact us immediately so we can get it fixed. If it's a private thread with another player, we recommend you try to talk to the other player first, if you are comfortable doing so - most folks don't want to hurt their fellow players, and chances are they didn't realize they upset you! You are also welcome to contact staff to arbitrate for you if you'd rather not do it yourself. If it is a thread on the explicit board that you're not part of... well, the explicit board is a little bit 'anything goes'. Obviously we'll crack down if things start getting out of hand. But otherwise, the happiest solution may be for you to just not read that thread. We promise nothing plot-crucial is happening in there. |
